Description:
Although very similar in overall design, they are totally different in execution of detail. Blades are approx.22" long, with ebony [i think] grips. Both swords are silver mounted. The saw-back has British hallmarks on the guard but no maker's name on the blade. The straight -back has a German running fox on the blade but no hallmarks on the silver work. I believe both swords date circa 1750-80 period and are British made. They both just came out of a very old collection and have never been offered for sale. I do not have scabbards for this pair.
