Savage model 99F in 308 Win.Built in 1957,this rifle has an unusual combination of old style features and more modern features.The old style features include a brass shell counter,lever safety,hand checkering,factory steel buttplate,and factory drilled and tapped for a tang sight.The newer features are drilled and tapped for Weaver scope bases,a jeweled bolt,a flip up rear sight,and the more modern 308 caliber.This rifle is in excellent all original condition.It retains 98% of the original blue,100%of the wood finish,and 98% of the lever case colors.This combination of features was only offered for a short time during the late 1950s.This is a great classic 99 for collector or shooter.C&R eligible.
