***** SPF ******This is an interesting Sharps 1853 slant breech carbine in relatively nice shape...The metal is clean overall and in the white...markings are all crisp and clear....wood is original and untouched, with a light cartuche on the wrist ( hard to picture ) and a unit marking just behind the rear sight ; G 10 CV.....i am not exaclty sure what it means but one interpretation was : G Co. 10TH Cavalry........the bore is super, there is a u.s. on top of the buttplate and the gun is tight all over.....
