Description:
Ludwig Loewe and his company's 1895 Mauser was used by Chilean forces in the arms race against Argentina back in 1896. A formidable and well-made rifle, the 1895 Mauser saw service for many decades in Chile. Ludwig Loewe's emphasis on safety of the shooter and use of superior materials of the time make these rifles some of the most finely finished surplus rifles out there. This Mauser is in good shape, with worn bluing in most areas, but very little surface rust. The wood is fair, with marks, dings, and dents throughout. It was made between 1895 and 1896, and includes 5 stripper clips.
