Transition era Winchester Model 70 Carbine in 7 M/M (7x57) caliber. This rifle is among the rarest of all Pre 64 Model 70s ever produced considering caliber, configuration, and production period and is quite possibly the only legitimate example most collectors will see in their lifetime. S/N 61*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1947. 96% or better Blue and Varnish. Insides are spotless. All correct components. Bore and mechanics are great. 20" Carbine barrel with a positively integral front sight ramp and barrel crown. This rifle is 100% original, extremely rare, and would be an extraordinary addition to ANY Winchester 70 collection!
