Description:
Serial #41452, .455 Webley, 6 1/2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves. This revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, yoke, extractor, and barrel with the metal retaining 90-92% of the original blue that has flaked to underlying gray metal along the sides of the barrel near the muzzle, and on the frame knuckle, and rear gripstrap. Some additional silvering is present on the raised edges and projections with some mild freckling at the grip-frame juncture on both sides, and a light turn-ring around the cylinder. British crossed pennants and Broad Arrow property stamps are present on the left side of the frame. The hammer and trigger have about 80% of the original color case-hardening remaining with the balance worn bright gray. The checkered, diamond-center, S&W medallion grips are not numbered ton the interior, but are correct and have minor wear and surface blemishes, along with some minor flattening of the points. The lock-up is still tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly. This is a very nice WW1 .455 hand ejector, and is in fine overall condition. FFL or C&R
