Description:
Winchester model 42, .410 pump shotgun. This is an extraordinary upgraded 42 by master engraver Angelo Bee. Angelo did a dove scene on the left side six gold doves in flight with an engraved cabin and landscape for the background and with a gold wire border separating the scene from tight floral scroll work. The right side is similar only with five gold quail. The top of the receiver in gold inlaid with a solo Gambels Quail with white gold accents. The extension is engraved with a Winchester “Pigeon” and with gold wire serial numbers. The engraving is continued at the muzzle and accented with gold wire. Maybe as spectacular as the metal are the pistol grip stock and forearm. They were crafted from an exhibition quality piece of American Walnut with finely carved borders and masterful checkering. 14" LOP, 1 1/2" DAC & 2 1/2" DAH with neutral cast. All of this is set on the model 42 with a “donut’ post vent rib, 26” barrel with full choke and properly placed proof marks. And this work of are comes in a fitted luggage case. This may not be the most elaborately/extensively engraved Angelo Bee 42 that I have had but with the spectacular wood and the tasteful engraving it may be the most handsome one that I’ve had! Weighs 6 lbs. 8 oz.
