German P.38 Semi-Auto Pistol, serial # 8192 a, cal. 9 mm, manufactured by Walther, with a 5" barrel and a very good bright bore showing some scattered fine frosting. The metal surfaces on this ac 42-coded pistol retain 80% arsenal applied blue with light pitting particularly along the dust cover, the triggerguard and gripstraps I believe may have been touched up. The grooved brown Bakelite grips remain in near excellent condition showing perhaps a few light handling marks. The markings remain clear softening only lightly on some of the smaller parts and have appropriate "(eagle) / 359" Waffenamts and all the serialized parts are matching. Included is an "(eagle) / 359" P.38 magazine. The overall condition as described and photographed is very good - very good plus. Inv.: # 1-1378
