Description:
Rare Colt Pocket model 1849 with iron trigger guard and iron grip straps. 31 cal percussion cap and ball 5 shot. Four inch long octagon barrel made in 1859. All numbers match 7 places. frame, trigger guard, grip strap, barrel, cylinder, tamping lever and barrel pin. .Good strong spring, pawl and hand. Cylinder turn, hammer pull back, and trigger pull all smooth and strong. Hammer locks tight and firm at both half cock and full cock. Her nipples are a little bruised but not chewed nor mangled. Stagecoach scene on cylinder has some wear but still very clear. Dark walnut grips nice shape with minor dings, no cracks but one very small chip on right grip at butt strap screw. Metal over all good with one small pitting area on left top side of barrel near muzzle. There are ding marks on right rear of barrel area the looks like sometime in its life some one had trouble knocking out pin. Pin now removes properly Tamping lever works smoothly and locks back tightly. Very good bore with good deep grooves and only very minor pitting.
