Description:
Very nice condition and unusual 2nd Model 1873 SRC with rifle butt as indicated in Factory Letter. It has a non-adjustable leaf sight that were only used on 1866 Carbines and early 1873 Carbines. Wood has minor handling marks with most of finish remaining. Blue on receiver is still very strong with a few scratches, notably in front of the loading gate.. Barrel and magazine blueing are very good and consistent with a hint of plumbing. Many of the protected areas on entire gun look like new! Bore is bright and shiny with a couple small pitted areas. Case color on butt plate, hammer and lever and very good. I would conservatively call this overall gun 80%. Mechanics are good and tight and works like new. Unusual to find a carbine in this condition with the added features.
