Description:
For sale is a scarce WWII bring back, fully transferable MP40, FXO41 CG Haenel manufactured machine gun. This is an all original machine gun, not a tube gun, not refurbished or refinished, and not pieced together. For you collectors out there, CG Haenel produced the smallest number of MP40s with Steyr being the most common, then Erma. This MP40 was built at the CG Haenel factory (C.G. Haenel, Waffen- u. Fahrradfabrik, Suhl) with the back of the receiver appropriately marked with subcontractor stamp CND 85121 (National Krupp Registrierkassen, GmbH, Berlin). This MP40 was manufactured in 1941, only a year before CG Haenel ceased production of them in 1942. Much of the blued finish on the receiver remains, but finish is slightly mottled with some minor freckling/patina on the barrel and underfolding stock with finish starting to turn color. The bore is very good and the weapon fires flawlessly. I have only put 100 rounds through it in the past 10 years. I have been a long time collector and am the managing partner of a Class III Retail Store, Victory Gun & Guitar Works in East Texas, and this is one of my personal machine guns. We have only fired two magazines in the nine years I have owned it. The Bakelite is also in very nice condition. The MP40 comes with seven WWII magazines, an original magazine loader, and original leather sling with a WWII era US Marked waxed canvas Barrel Carrying Case that the MP40 was brought back in. I purchased it from the original "bring back" family in Dallas.
