Highly desirable PRE WAR Model 70 in the popular .270 Caliber. S/N 40*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1941. VG-Excellent condition overall. The original Bluing is in remarkable condition throughout, especially the beautiful rust blued barrel showing about 97-98%. The original finish wood shows scattered character marks throughout but nothing too distracting and no deep gouges or cracks. All components are correct and it even has the original sling with frog clips and diamond crimps in great condition! 24" Barrel. Bore are mechanics are excellent. A true classic representation of the greatest sporting rifle ever made and ready to flawlessly serve another 79 years...or more!
