Description:
Colt Single Action Army “Frontier Six Shooter” chambered for .44-40. According to the Colt letter this fine revolver was shipped to the London Agency, Apri 22, 1886 and the revolver bears individual British proofs for each chamber and proofs are visible on the bottom of the barrel. 7 ½” barrel, single line Hartford address barrel stamping; “Frontier Six Shooter” etched caliber panel. One piece walnut grips with excellent varnish. This is an all matching numbers revolver in antique fine condition, with traces of colors visible in protected areas; and mechanically excellent; screws excellent; blue finishes fading to browning patina. It comes with a correct vintage wooden case with cartridges and tools.
