This Winchester Model U.S. Rifle M1 Garand is a gas operated rotating bolt semi-automatic rifle in .30-06 Cal. It has a 24 inch barrel. A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The butt stock is a smooth hardwood pistol grip and the forearm is a smooth grip two piece hardwood. It was the standard U.S. service rifle during WW II, Korean War and saw limited service during the Viet Nam War. It is still used by drill teams and U.S. Military Honor Guards. It is widely used by civialns for hunting, target shooting and as a military collectable. DOM 1944.
