Description:
Here is a Griffin and Howe custom built Mauser action carbine in .270 Win. Caliber. This rifle is in very good used condition and shows very little usage. The action is tight and solid and the bore is clean. The gun has a shrouded front sight and a barrel mounted sling swivel. It currently wears a Leupold VX III 1.5-5X rifle scope, attached to the rifle by a Griffen and Howe quick detach side mount. The rifle has a rosewood forend on the front of the one piece stock. The stock is hand checkered in the forend and pistol grip areas. The pistol cap has a metal base plate attached and there is a metal butt plate. This was the last rifle produced in 1946 by G&H. Griffen and Howe also did the trigger job on the rifle. LOP is 13-5/8 inches. It has a blind magazine that empties from the bottom.
