Description:
Model 1870 US Springfield Navy Rolling Block as marked with the anchor Stamp on top of the barrel at the Breach. Dark Walnut wood stock is in good condition with normal dents, handling marks and a couple hairline cracks in the butt stock. Full length barrel has the correct front and rear sights and bayonet lug. All metal parts originally in the bright now have a smooth brown patina. Tang marked Remington patent over Pat.May 3rd Nov 15th 1864 April17th 1868. Barrel is also stamped with H.B.R which I assume is a inspector. The bore is fair to good with good rifling. I believe this rare gun is in original correct configuration and seems to work as it should. There is also a rack number stamped on the US marked butt plate. $50 dollars should cover shipping andi insurance.
