Description:
DANISH (B/R), Cal. 30/06, SN 876,---. This is an outstanding VERY EARLY WWII (stripped) Receiver and Barrel set as sold through the CMP program on June 19, 1999. Not only does it appear to be an original early WWII U.S. ‘’SA / 876---’’ marked/SN’d receiver but also the Danish barrel is ‘’VAR’’ marked and has a chromed gas port area. The finish other than honest cycling wear and areas where the original parts would have rubbed rates at appx 95% on the pair. The bore visually rates Mint and the throat gauges about a 2 (new) on an original Arsenal gauge. A great example of the ‘’VAR’’ barreled Danish M1 Garand with a very early SA receiver. Plus it comes complete with its CMP ‘’Danish’’ Documentation! (Of course it is Not Import Marked)
