As good as it gets. Here's a near mint Winchester 70 Featherweight in what is still the world's greatest all around caliber 30-06. S/N 366663 with matching scribed bolt made in 1956. Aside from the impeccable condition inside and out, this rifle is very special for a few other reasons. One, it wears a LOW COMB stock which is comparatively seldom seen in this model and almost never seen in high condition '06 because they often get gobbled up quickly for a specific higher purpose! Secondly, the wood color is atypical in that it has that honey glow to it that relatively few 70s seemed to have and it really stands out to those of us that handle large #s of this model. Most of the lighter wood tone stocks will have more of a straw color to them which I find much less appealing. Lastly, it has a unique mirror serial number "366663" which is kind of cool to those who care about such things! Not surprisingly, the bore and mechanics of this fine rifle are beyond excellent.
