<<<SOLD>>>Antique status,made 1895 , a desirable configuration: a .44-40 with a 4-3/4" barrel length. This gun has next to no finish. It was cleaned long ago and almost completely in patina now. It's mechanically sound, with all the hammer notches intact. The grips, which are early stag with smooth wear and age patina and a brass bullet shell insert fit perfectly. A real gun fighters gun, with SN 1604XX, all matching no number seen on the ccylinder but has the age and use of the gun, and look original . Patches of wear and very fine groups of pin point pits in front of the grips and near the frint of the trigger guard from being holstered and handled a long time. The hammer is correct and has some smooth wear at the top back from use. Very strong two line barrel address and side legend of: COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER. The bore has strong lands and grooves, but scattered roughness down in the grooves from black powder ammo use., typical of the blackpowder era. This is still a very strong, shootable Old West Colt in original condition. Locks up tight , and indexes god and the cylnder has a drag line , been there a long time..Made 1895 .Antique satatus in most states.Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice!
