Full length 3 band Walnut stock is in very good condition with 2 cartouches a ESA and HSH on the left flat along with the firing cartouche behind the trigger guard. Full length barrel and all metal parts are in the original armory bright turning a brown patina. Both original front and rear sights are present. The breach block is marked 1866 with the eagle head stamp. The butt pate is marked US with a unit stamping. Both sling swivels are present. The gun is complete and functions as it should. The model 1866 was used at the Hayfield and Wagonbox fights in Wyoming and Montana in 1867.
