Payment Types Accepted: Description: The Prussian model 1809/1839 measures 56.5 inches in length with a 41.25 inch barrel in 72 caliber smooth bore is dated 1826. Originally manufactured as a flintlock and converted to percussion in the 1830's. Thousands of the Prussian muskets were imported during the civil war. The full length original stock has a number of cartouches and stamping along with a M164 which could be unit marking. The lock markings are not readable due to the dark brown patina. The butt plate is stamped 490. There is what I believe to be a musseum tag near the butt plate. The metal parts have a smooth dark brown patina along with some pitting near the nipple. The trigger guard, barrel bands and left side plate are brass with a mellow patina. Both sling swivels and ramrod are present. The lock functions as it should. The historic firearms appears to be in very good original condition. Shipping will be actual cost approximately $50.00. A very good example of a civil war import musket.
