Description:
Flli Rizzini R1E sidelock 20 gauge SxS shotgun. Fratelli Rizzini is arguably one of the very finest manufacturers of “Best Quality” shotguns in the world and the R1E is the top of the F.lli Rizzini line.
This is a truly bespoke firearm.
Starting with the 26” chopper lump barrels that are fitted with a tapered, hand filed solid rib; mirror perfect bores that measure .625” each and chokes of .020” right (IM) and .030” left (XF) and nominal wall thicknesses of .042”.
The straight grip stock and matching forearm were crafted from a piece of handsomely grained Turkish Walnut and checkered in a classic pattern of very fine cutting. The LOP is 14 3/8” over a ¾” ebony finished end with checkered butt. 1 7/16” DAC and 2 1/8” DAH with slight LH cast. (note: my stockmaker has assured me that the cast can be "bent" to favour a right hand shooter)
The frame is coin finished highlighting master engraver W. Patelli’s delicate/full coverage scroll pattern engraving. A magnificent work of art that immediately draws your eye to examine the detail. Do not look at the engraving without paying particular attention to the detail of the screw heads..incredible (see photos)!
Take the barrels, the wood and the frame incorporate, assisted opening, non-automatic safety and a single non-selective trigger all with the timeless attention to detail that Flli Rizzini is known for and you get this R1E.
