Description:
Winchester model 70 Pre-64 250-3000 Savage 1939 vintage. Manufacturerd between 1937 and 1950. Only 0.4% finished in this caliber. This rifle is made of high quality wood, superior workmanship, meticulous wood to metal fit. Generous checkering with 20 lines per inch. Polished and blued receiver, grooved rear bridge no holes and integral front ramp sight. Bore is strong with well defined lands and sharp rifilings.Factory barrel stamping is chrisp, sharp and easily seen. This rifle is 99% with no box or paperwork. I'm no expert on these rifle. This could be refinished, re-blued, or redone to perfection.. Beautiful example of WInchester's craftmanship and quality. Has the "S" on the bolt stop, #7 magazine, #5 shell ejector and 25S stamped on bottom of barrel. Feel free to make offer.
