Description:
Winchester Model 70 .375 H&H Super Grade made approximately 1957. Retains approximately 98% of the original finish, and appears to have seen little use. Please see the photos for a better description of the condition.
All original and correct in every respect, featuring a rust blued barrel, jewelled bolt and follower, and proper Winchester 70B roll-over rear and Redfield 255 full gold bead front sights. The barrel has the correct "375M" caliber stamping and the correct "SUPER" stamping on the underside near the receiver, which is typically seen on late Super Grades to denote the rust blued barrel. The recoil lug is stamped with the correct reversed "S" that was used on the last few years of Super Grade production. It has the late style Winchester marked ventilated pad, indicating that this was one of the last Super Grades produced in this caliber. Includes the factory sling swivels. This is a collector quality and investment grade Pre-64 Model 70, with probably only a few hundred Super Grades produced this caliber, most of which do not have the later jewelled bolt and follower and rust bluing.
