This Quality Hardware M-1 Carbine was mfg abt 8/43 and has all of the correct original type parts for the period. - In the foregoing ever attempt is mad to correctly identify all parts. I use three publications for my references : 1st - M-1 carbine,2nd Edition by R. C/ Larsen, 2nd US M1 Carbines, Wartime Production br Craig Reisch - 7th Edition and thirdly US M! Carbines - Wartime Prod bt Craig Reisch 4th Edition and various periodicals relating to WWII carbines. Ant suggestion or corrections
are greatly appreciated. (The sling, oiler and magazine are not included at present.)
The gun metal is all a evenly contrasting olive gray parkerizing. The barrel is the correct "Buffalo Arms / 8-43 with thee flaming Bomb marking" and has the matching front sight Type 1-A.(N). The action is normal and cycles correctly.. The stock is the correct Type 2 w/thw high wood and oval cut. It is w/o any cracks, chips or dings (Abt 98%) . The Handguard is a T 1 w/2holes. it is abt 98% w/no cracks, dings or chips.

w/ltrs LT-Q, Oper Slide - T2 w/ltrs DA-Q,Stock - T2 w/QRMC in Sling well and Cross Cannons Cartouche, handguard - T1 w/lyrs QR-MC on the underside, Barrel
Band - T1 - IM (Unmarked - Poss repro). Butt Plare - 4 Partial Diamonds at top and 4 full ones at bottom & appearance of a border at the O/S edge.
Bore Measureas - "1+".It is also very shiney and bright & also w/a nice vivid twist.
This Quality Hardware represents to me one of the better Quality Carbines of WWII and would be an excellent candidate anyones collection.
I would rate this Quality Hardware as an overal "NRA - VG to Excellent ".
