"Colt 1860 Army US Marked. Made in 1862. Colt 1860 Army U.S Marked. This is one of the guns that was refurbished after the Civil War. The guns were taken apart, finished and them reassembled with no attempt to put the guns back together matching. These guns were issued to the buffalo soldiers as cartridge guns were coming in and the buffalo soldier always received hand me downs. Very nice gun with good history. Trigger guard is marked “U.S" Metal has a smooth even brown patina. Grips show normal wear. There is a small chip on the front left hand corner. This gun comes with an original civil war era Holster. Very neat rig!
