The ornateness of this and the condition is amazing , I've yet to have a rifle kept, as well as this one, with an amazing amount of patina. The ornate trigger guard, the fluted arm rest, looks like out of the factory, the bore is clean as is the rest of the rifle. The adjustable large front and rear sights give you the felling that with this gun it would be hard to miss the target great peep sight. The tigger pulls smoothly. This gun was sold back in pre 1947 Pennsylvania ,the bill has one area code number. The patch box has a mountain lion drinking from a bowl, when I opened it up the bill fell out mostly in pieces,this gun dates I'm thinking to 1870's or earlier , the patch box was tined on the inside.
