WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION .44 W.C.F. (44-40) CALIBER SADDLE RING CARBINE CA. 1913. Semi-relic condition. All original with the sling swivel added. Made it’s way to Spain for the Spanish Civil War. Probably made its way to Spain in the 1930’s from stores of captured guns from the Mexican Revolution of the 1912-20 era. Sold off by the Spanish Govt. in the 1970’s and bought by the man we got it from while he was living there for $20. Accompanied by a letter from the owner attesting to his procurement of the rifle in Spain 46 years ago. Interesting read. Rough but colorful. Works perfectly with dark bore, but visible well pronounced rifling.
