Here we have an as new, barely fired, Perazzi Mirage Sporting, which is the same gun as the MX8 with the drop out trigger group. The name designation of the gun changed in the year 2000. This Perazzi, sn83310 built around 1999, is set up as a fine sporting clays gun and/or trap gun with 34” MX8 barrels (dated 2001) choked with LM/IM fixed chokes, weighing a lively 8 1/2lb., and balanced dead on the hinge pin even with the long 34” barrels. The gun has seen little use and is still tight on the trunions like a new gun. The previous owner had many fine guns and rarely used this one. The exhibition English walnut, 99% metal finishes, drop out trigger group, long barrels, all make this a stunningly attractive Perazzi over/under. The custom stock was sculpted, fit, and finished by Tom Smith, a stocker with a grand reputation for building the finest custom competition stocks in the sporting clays world. The stock work on this gun is a value of over $5500. The high Monte Carlo style stock with right hand palm swell has a "parallel comb" that reduces felt recoil to the face and shoulder, which is greatly appreciated when shooting a few hundred shells in an afternoon outing. This gun also has a tapered rib, flat main springs for the fastest lock times, removable trigger group, and a 30-day shooting warranty. The bore is perfect and the gun is housed in an Americase aluminum case. Perazzi is the accepted leader in the target gun world, with incredible durability and more Olympic and International awards than any other gun maker. The value of this gun will hold or increase, as the cost of new Perazzi guns continues to rise. This is essentially a brand-new gun!
