Payment Types Accepted: Postal Money Order Description: I have done some research, and have not found any Japanese Naval Parade swords that have been signed, like this one. I have pictures of the markings placed on the hand guard, near the thumb guard, first marking has a naval anchor with a u ,a wave and part of the out line of a chrysanthemum, at the top, the next I believe is the makers name, if I am wrong please inform me, I have contacted several knowable people with no luck on this one. Now the sword is in amazing shape. The blade is like out of the factory, The leather on the scabbard, is in great shape very strong. The gold wash is above good on the hand guard, the pommel has the royal mum, as does the grip back strap. The scabbard has mums on all three areas both double hangers and on the drag, the gold wash is thinner on scabbard. The hand guard, has the flip down part to keep from rubbing against your hip ,and also doubles to lock the scabbard to the sword securely . I belive this was caried by a very important person of rank and money, this is not a sword purchased by the run of the mill officer, it is a huge step above. The leather scabbard washer is intact and minty. 859-533-5445 , This 1883 Model, nine leaf pattern is had to find in this shape, this model was for ensigns up to captains. SOLD |
