<<<sold>>>>A very uique rifle in excellent condition this carbine was made by Westinghouse (Stevens ARms Co.) of Chicopee Falls, Mass. Being produced for the Czar of Russian army , when the reveolution happened the order was cancelled and many guns reverted to the U.S. to be issued to state militias, and even the guards at the Springfield Armory. Many, many more were sold as surplus and made their hands to gun makers, as this one was made into a carbine with a 26" barrel and an excellent clean , shiny, rifled bore chambered for the potent 7.62X54Rmm cartridge. Comes with a ramp front sight and issued rear military sight. In it's life a tan nylon stock was assembled . The bolt is turned down for ease of use and maybe the installation of a scope.The top of the breech has clear markoinhgs of Westinghouse Co. 1915. A good little sporter made to last a long time as a rugged military rifle. I have not tested fired this gun ,but appears original, very good condition.No out of U.S. sales!!!
