Winchester rifles 1886
1886 saddle ring carbine. 45-70 CAL caliber. 22” barrel.
Condition: The barrel and tube are mostly gun metal grey with slight patina. The receiver is medium to light gun metal color with common wear. Never cleaned, original ladder sight and front post.
The wood set is really pretty good. One small stress crack under the barrel band on the underside.
Pretty good fit against the receiver. The butt stock is in good shape, just a little low on the upper left tang. The butt plate fits good, the bore has good shine and rifling, about an 8.5.
