Description:
Browning Superposed Diana Grade 28 gauge O/U shotgun.  A one owner gun that was made in 1967 and it was discovered to be “salty”. It was returned to Browning for warranty servicing and it has remained unfired since the Browning restoration in the early 70’s.  Originally this was a round knob/short tang gun (see photo of the lamp!) and when Browning did the salt restoration they replaced the stock with the flat knob/short tang that you see here.

Configuration:  28” barrels that are choke marked IC/M and measure .012” & .020”.  Vent rib with traditional metal front bead.  The beautiful pistol grip buttstock and field forearm were crafted from a gorgeous piece Walnut and the stock was fitted with a Browning buttplate.  14 1/8” LOP over the buttplate, 1 3/8” DAC, 2 1/16” DAH and a very slight cast favoring a left hand shooter.  Weighs 6 lbs. 9 oz.

Condition wise as I said this gun is unfired since Browning restoration is the early 70’s.  There are a few light handling marks:  a small “ding” in forearm on the right side, near the breech end of the checkering and some finish “checking” is becoming visible on the forearm.  All barrel markings are crisp and sharp and the blue is perfect except for the customary mark where the forearm slides under the barrel.  Otherwise very mint.

The receiver was engraved by Charles Servais and signed on both sides.  The frame finish is “as new”
