Offered for sale is a rather rare and unique Trap Shotgun, based upon the Mossberg 500 action. The Mossberg High Rib traps were a project utilzing the talents of Simmons Rib Company and Mossberg. The Olympic style high rib, almost 1 1/2" high was added to 30" 12 gauge barrels with the changeable choke system used by Mossberg and Winchester. Mossberg also addes a very high Monte Carlo stock and larger forearm, rounding out the offering. IN their day, they were very well made, popular and inexpensive target quality shotguns.
This particular unit is very clean and has better then average quality wood. It has a 30" barrel with two chokes. The stock and forearm are free of cracks and chips, however there are three small dings on the underside of the stock, near the butt pad. They are pictured in the last photo
