Description:
This is a 41 caliber Deringer percussion pistol. This pistol has a 1” barrel with a flat top and 6 groove rifling. The iron barrel is patinated and has a post front sight. The breech plug is marked “Deringer” on the top flat and there is engraving on the left flat. On the patinated tang is a simple rear sight and engraving. A crack in the stock runs from the lock plate to the rear of the tang. The hammer is engraved as well as the lock plate which has “Deringer” stamped on it. Another crack runs from the rear of the lock plate to the left side of the trigger guard. The stock is mounted with German silver escutcheons, trigger guard, side plate, nosepiece, thumb piece and flash plate. The tear shaped cap is missing from the bottom of the grip. The grip has very worn checkering and a crack in the recess where the tear shaped cap was mounted. The hammer and trigger are in working condition. Overall length is 5-?”, weight is 6.4 oz.
