Condition: Nice old ranch carbine with a 20” barrel in the most desirable and rarest caliber of .38-55. Manufactured in 1896. The barrel and tube are gun metal grey with some patina. The receiver is gun metal grey from being cleaned many years ago. The action is fine and has a ladder rear sight and factory front post sight. The barrel has a bit of knackering around the caliber mark. The wood set is original having been sanded and cleaned years ago. The form and butt stock have a few slivers of wood missing here and there but doesn’t distract too bad from the gun since it is a 124 year old ranch gun! The bore has some good shine to it. The rifling is a bit light but should clean up a bit better. Nice, very rare old ranch gun in a very rare caliber. Antique and ships right to your front door.
