Pictured on page 337 of R.L. Wilson's Engraving book. The engraver was Gough and features numerous animals done in his style. On one side is a bear stalking a couple deer and a mountain lion sneaking up on a mountain goat. On the other side is a buffalo charging a bear. Receiver is mostly a light grey with sharp engraving. Bbl has about 75% orig blue turning silvery. 24" rd bbl. Orig sights. Rifle style buttplate. The checkered wood shows a fair amount of usage. Unusual checkering in some type of fleur de lis style on the buttstock as well as the forearm. Sound and solid. A very rare gun complete with a crest engraving on the bolt.
