Description:
A unique Camp Perry 8" barrel (uncommon) single-shot .22 caliber target pistol that dates to 1937. Most of the Camp Perry’s made had the 10” barrel however Colt did build about 350, of the 2500 made, with an 8” barrel. The Camp Perry single shot target pistol was famous for its accuracy at the Camp Perry matches in Camp Perry, Ohio as well as other various competition matches during the 1920s-1940s. It was also used at the Olympics to garner several medals by the United States Olympic Teams. The gun is the only one we have ever encountered that was shipped to England and has the British proof marks, along with a Colt factory letter showing it was shipped to Parker-Hale Company in Birmingham, England. The factory letter shows that the gun was shipped on April 14, 1937 in a one gun shipment. It has a very unique set of Roper pinky finger grips. The gun remains in good condition and the bore is excellent. Undoubtedly a gun that would add to the best collection. I offer a three day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
