Description:
Antique, high condition nickel, Colt, Model 1877, Thunderer Revolver, .41 caliber, SN 55840, with scarce 5" barrel. The serial number matches on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The configuration of the revolver is confirmed by the accompanying Colt Archive Letter showing it was included in a shipment of three guns to Hartley & Graham in New York, New York on July 21, 1886. The original nickel finish is in excellent condition with most of the loss occurring on the back strap and trigger guard. The scarce 5" barrel retains nearly all of the original finish with minor loss near the muzzle. The etched panel reads "Colt D.A. 41", and is strong and clear. The action functions flawlessly in both single and double action. The back of the hammer and trigger retain strong fire blue. The hard rubber grips fit perfectly and are in excellent condition. This is a great example of a Colt, 1877 Thunderer that any Colt collector would be proud to own. Buyer pays $20.00 shipping to lower 48 states. I accept USPS Money Orders or Bank Cashier's Check.
