Description:
Excellent Pre 64 Winchester 70 Super Grade in the highly popular and versatile .270 caliber. S/N 157*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1950. Condition is excellent with original finishes showing 98% Blue, 96% Varnish. All correct components including special Redfield gold bead front sight, floor plate, swivels, etc. The action components are correctly NOT jeweled, which did not occur on Super Grades until the mid 1950s.
This is a very nice rifle that has been used carefully and well taken care of, the insides were spotless. Bore and mechanical function are superb.
While considered a fairly "common" caliber relative to overall Pre 64 Model 70 production, rifles in this condition and SG configuration do not come along every day and this is a fine collectible example that should be a proud addition to most any collection.
