Description:
Up for your consideration is a CMP Field Grade Springfield Armory M1 Garand. SN 3178759 was born on September, 1944. This rifle went through overhaul at Augusta Army Depot in 1955. The barrel has a mirror bore with a throat erosion of 2 and a muzzle erosion of 1 dated 1-55. All parts are Springfield Armory including the trigger, hammer, operating rod, bolt, sights, gas cylinder lock nut and trigger housing. The stock has the Augusta Army Depot cartouche AA with inspector X, the minature ordnance crossed canons on the grip end and a Serif P on the grip. The stock and handguards have honest wear from WWII and Korea but no cracks or serious chips. I have never fired this Garand since purchase but with a near new barrel should be very accurate. It will be shipped with the original CMP COA, Armorer's notes in a CMP hard case and 2 clips for $1150 delivered. I accept Postal Money Orders and Cashier's Checks only.
