Description:
The Sako TRG 22 and 42 A1 are made for one specific task: to hit the target – whatever it takes. The TRG 22 and 42 A1 have been taken to the next level with new features inspired by our flagship model, the TRG M10.

Action
The solid vault-like action is cold hammer-forged from special steel alloy. Integral 17 mm axial scope mounting rails have integral recoil stop-slots on the top of the receiver. The receiver is stabilized with three fastening screws.
The sturdy bolt with three locking lugs feeds rounds flawlessly from the centerline of a detachable staggered 2-row magazine. It has a reliable feed for various ammunition types. The bolt lift is at a 60° angle for fast bolt throw. The bolt is equipped with double ejector plungers allowing for more seamless ejection, especially under more rapid fire. The TRG 42a1 bolt handle attachment has been improved to withstand even the roughest handling.
Barrel
Barrel blanks are drilled, honed, cold- hammer forged, and individually inspected by master gunsmiths. Twist rates are chosen for each caliber to optimize accuracy and bullet performance. All Sako TRG 42a1 barrels are free floated and are topped with a phosphate finish.
Trigger
The Sako TRG 42a1 received a trigger update in 2013. This new mechanism ensures improved safety measures in case the rifle is accidentally dropped. It also features a new safety lever, which is ergonomically positioned and designed to make it faster and more convenient to use.

Stock
The TRG 42a1 is designed to meet individual demands, and adjusts to each shooter’s personal style, build, and posture. Fully Adjustable Rear Stock all adjustments can be done quickly without the use of any tools. The stock can also be securely folded and locked down when required.
The forearm features modular M-LOK attachments point. The M-LOK standard has a robust design and is compatible with a wide range of accessories. The M-LOK interface is also easy to use and offers a secure lock for many different applications.
