Description:
Original WWII Johnson Model of the Semi-Auto Rifle Receiver converted to a First Pattern Israeli Dror LMG in Semi-Auto configuration, Chambered in 30-06 same as the semi automatic Johnson Automatics and M1 Garand. This weapon is complete with attached bi-pod and completely functional. This fully legal semi automatic rifle comes with 3 magazines and a beautiful hardwood padded and form fitted wooden hardcase. Comes with the original 1945 Johnson LMG tubular buttstock and wood pistol grip, tangent rear sight and matching front sight, includes the original permanent mounted bipod, 90+% Parkerized finish. Tooling and production drawings were sold to Israel in 1950.
It has the LMG front sight and flip up rear sight. The barrel is in excellent condition. A correct 30 caliber bore gauge shows to be 0 at the muzzle indicating little firing. It uses the Dror magazine housing (Israeli Johnson) that accepts the 20 round BAR magazine.
30,000 Johnson M1941 rifles were made, but only about 3,000 were machine guns. Some of them have been made semi-automatic in the 1950's.
