The S&W K-22 Combat Masterpiece "Pre-Model 18" was made from 1949 to 1957, continued thereafter as the Model 18. The 6-shot double action revolvers were fitted with a 4 inch pinned barrel, combat style 1/8 inch Baughman Quick Draw on plain ramp base pinned front sight, adjustable rear sight, built on a square butt 5-screw or 4-screw (later model) frame, blue finished, and chambered in .22 LR. This 1953 vintage, 5-screw frame K-22, is as described and is in excellent original condition, retaining 90-95% of its orignal blue finish, with most thinning on the cylinder and high edges of the barrel and frame, due to handling. The grips are in fine condition, with assorted handling dings on the base. The bore looks like new and the action functions perfectly. The gun is all numbers matching (frame to cylinder, barrel, and grips). All screw heads are mostly un-molested, including the sight screws. Sorry, no box or paper-work.
