Smith & Wesson® designed the M&P® Shield M2.0™ Compact Semi-Auto Pistol specifically for concealed carry. The use of a single stack magazine results in a slim, trim pistol; and rounded or beveled edges allow concealment even when dressed in summer clothing. A polymer frame and a black Armornite™ finished stainless steel slide make the Shield M2.0 extremely resistant to the corrosive effects of sweat and humidity when carried close to the body. A rigid, extended stainless steel chassis embedded to the polymer frame reduces flex and torque when firing. A new aggressive texture keeps hand in place, and the original M&P 18-degree grip angle points instinctively on target. The M2.0™ trigger has a light crisp pull and a tactile and audible reset; and a sear deactivation lever allows the weapon to be disassembled without pulling the trigger first. A high grip-to-barrel bore axis reduces muzzle flip to sustain accurate shot placement during rapid fire. Low-profile, 3-dot steel sights aid in rapid shooting. Fish scale slide serrations provide a non-slip grip while chambering rounds or clearing a jam. The M&P Shield M2.0 Compact Semi Auto Pistol fieldstrips easily without tools.
