Original Colt 1911A1 WW2 Remington Rand British Lend Lease in excellent + condition. Original finish 99-98% , not import marked, original USGI barrel that is British proofed as it's supposed to be, frame and slide are British proofed, all matching, no rust or pitting on metal, no cracks on grips, excellent bore, functions fine.
Even though during WWII Remington Rand produced more 1911A1's than other manufacturers, for whatever unknown reason Lend Lease Remington Rand 1911's are the most rare to encounter compared to Colt Lend Lease and Ithica Lend Lease.
Out of 39,592 Lend Lease 1911A1s sent to England less than 2000 were Remington Rand - which is around 5%.
Stamp "Released British Govt. 1952" on the right side of the slide is NOT an import mark, it only means that it was released from the British arsenal . Almost all Britsh Lend Lease guns have this kind of stamp.
