Certainly one of the very last PHE Grades built, this one is a beautiful 10 bore with factory original Vent Rib on the 32" Parker Special Steel barrels. Gun is SN 227,370. Made on a #3 Frame with double triggers, auto ejectors, splinter forend and capped pistol grip buttstock which terminates with what appears to be the original Jostam brand pad. The gun weighs in at 8lbs 15oz.
Overall the gun is in very nice condition. The barrels and trigger guard retain about 97% of an expertly restored blue. Action retains more than 40% original case color, and the stocks are sound and retain most of their original finish with some finish added for preservation. There are a few light handling marks in the wood. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. This is a duck hunter's dream gun.
In 30 years of chasing Parkers, I have seen perhaps 3 original steel barrelled 10 gauge guns with vent ribs. This is the only PHE grade I have seen or heard of and this gun could in fact be unique. It has been in a private collection for more than 20 years and is now being offered for the first time in a generation. This gun is priced at $9750 shipped to your FFL.
