PRICE REDUCED!!!! One of the great rarities in all of Lefever collecting is the early sidecocking guns invented by Dan Lefever. He licensed this patent to Charles Daly who made some of these guns - very few of which exist today. This particular gun, a higher grade with fine wood and beautiful 30" Damascus barrels. It is Nitro Proofed for 3-1/4" chambers and capable of handling modern loads. The gun is nicely scroll engraved. Splinter forend with Deeley release and very interesting original high grade horn tip. The rib is engraved "Lefever's Patent" with patent dates.
The gun remains in pleasing condition with nearly 100% restored damascus pattern, excellent bores. The stocks have been expertly restored as has the trigger guard. Frame with hints of original color.
This is an extremely rare gun suitable for a collector of Daly's or Lefevers. No Lefever collection is complete without one of these rare examples. The gun is priced at $3800 plus shipping.
