Description:
1863 New Model Sharps Carbine converted in 1867 to 50-70.  31,000 were converted for the US Cavalry and were used until the Springfield trapdoor we're introduced  in 1874.  Very good unsanded  two piece walnut stock with 2 cartouches but does have a chip in front of the barrel band pictured in the photos.  All metal surfaces have smooth brown patina.  The breach block has the 3 correct Sharps and Lawrence patent dates.  The rear sight is missing its slider.  A good solid original sharps Carbine that probably saw action in the civil and Indian wars.  Shipping will be actual cost approximately 50.00 .  This gun is original and functions as it should.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 218-839-9272 or chriskobberdahl2gmail.  SOLD
