This is a wonderful example of the fine work that famous Gunsmith Austin Behlert helped pioneer and innovate. This Colt MK IV/Series 70 1911 has had many upgrades. First Behlert reduced the length of a slide, then added a fully integrated profile cone compensator for recoil reduction, added a flared magwell and oversized mag release. He added a Bo-Mar adjustable rear sight and blended the rear sight body and front blade for snag free operation. Then he added a Pachmayr thumb shield to reduce the likelihood of slowing the slide with a high grip. He also upgraded to a ambidextrous safety. The back of the hammer has been shaved down to accomodate a snag free draw. The trigger was also changed and the trigger pull was lowered. Austin then added a textured back strap. The Coup De Gras was his signature grip customization, he would weld steel rings to the grip frames then fill the hoops with more welded material, then shaping and stippling the frame for a superb grip texture he also applied a similar technique to the front of the trigger guard while also reshaping it as well. This fine specimin is signed by Austin Behlert as well. Comes with a Wilson Combat magazine.
